- Dugie Gemmill

Dugie graduated from Glasgow University in 1988 and after a spell in mixed and large animal practice, moved to Parkside in 1990 to be able to develop his surgical skills, in particular orthopaedics. He became a partner to David Murdoch in 1994 and became the leader of the practice in 2012.
Dugie is particularly interested in Orthopaedic Surgery and more recently in Laparoscopic Surgery too and was among the first vets in the UK to obtain a brand new qualification in the field (GPCert(Endo)).
He lives near Holywell with his two sons and their Staffie-Jack, Ghill......aka Dr Gilbert.

David joined Parkside as one of the original partners in 1979 after spells working at Glasgow and Liverpool universities as a lecturer in Gastroenterology. He is still one of the country's foremost authorities in canine gastroenterology and liver problems, accepting referral cases from other vets, and lecturing regularly at CPD events both in the UK and Europe.
David keeps himself busy away from work, spending time with his wife, three daughers, five granchildren and his constant companion, Foxy the dog!

Hayley joined Parkside in 1994 and gained the Registered Veterinary Qualification (RVN) in 1998. Hayley has been Head Nurse since 2005 and more recently qualified as an A1 Assessor and Clinical Coach. She is responsible for overseeing all our nursing duties and the training and assessment of our Student Veterinary Nurses.
Hayley, Wirral born and bred, still lives here with her husband, two daughters and their Cocker Spaniel, Sam.
- Gemma Shaw
- Senior Qualified Veterinary Nurse
Gemma has worked at Parkside for 8 years and is about to complete her final examinations to complete the Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, having already achieved the ANA qualification. Before joining us Gemma worked at the RSPCA rehoming centre in Wallasey and a dog day care centre where she assisted in training classes. Gemma became a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in August 2015.
Gemma has two rescue rescue dogs; Bolt, a Yorkshire Terrier and Cassey, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross.

Beth gained her full Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification in the autumn of 2015.
- Lisa Depledge
- Student Veterinary Nurse
Lisa has been with Parkside for over six years. Initially she worked as part of the Wallasey Village branch reception team, before moving to the New Ferry branch to join the nurses and begin her two year Veterinary Nursing course, targetting to become fully qualified in 2018.
Lisa lives on the Wirral with her two children and Lux the Tabby cat.

Having finished his A Levels in 2014, Finn joined the Practice team in October 2014. In 2016 Finn spent six months gaining valuable experience at a busy Hospital Practice in Yorkshire before returning to Parkside to begin his studies towards RVN qualification in the summer of 2017.
- Jane McNoon
- Senior Receptionist
Jane has been with Parkside Veterinary Surgery for three years and is the Senior Receptionist at the New Ferry branch. Jane is responsible for tge smooth running of reception for both consultations and surgical admissions. Jane also processes clients' pet health insurance claim forms.
Jane has her hands full with Yogi, her cat, Colonel, a Japanese Akita, two grown up children and a young daughter!

Louise joined us recently and works as part of the New Ferry branch reception team. Louise has two children, a dog called Roxy and a cat called Pudley.
